Good Morning! Do we have any guests with us today?

Guests: If you bring a guest to putters, please make sure you and your guest sign the guest book on the chip table and put a $1.00 in the box.

Do we have any new or further information on our folks who have been feeling “under par” today?  Jean Sebert:  back still bothers her, can’t stand for long,  will be at luncheon today…

Elyse Fischler:  uses oxygen 24/7…wants to putt, and stay a member , may come to lunch sometime…

Reminder: No denim of any color is allowed on the putting greens.

Scorecards: Based on general consensus, we will be using scorecard #3 on a trial basis

IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS WE WILL BE USING A DIFFERENT SCORECARD TO TRY FOR A MONTH OR SO…

Monthly LuncheonsBeginning with our luncheon in March, we will be at the Vistas in the HOA#1 clubhouse…the cost will be $15 inclusive.  Plan on attending  March 12th. 12 noon, lunch will be served at 12:15 pm. Menu is ½ smoked turkey breast sandwich on wheat berry bread, lettuce, and tomato, pickle on plate with mustard and mayo on tables, along with a cup of
Albondigas soup, Guiness chocolate pudding for dessert, water, iced tea, lemonade, reg and decaf coffee .and rolls & butter.

We will be resuming our 50/50 raffle and use the funds to purchase  door prizes for the attendees of the luncheon along with a drawing for gift cards leftover from the prize patrol.

Putters/Sputters event is next week, on Feb 20.  You have been notified if you made the lottery…Registration if at 8:30 a.m. Wear black bottoms and  Putters pink shirt…Menu:  chicken crepes sauteed veggies, rice pilaf, ice cream with fresh berries..lunch will be served right after we finish putting…THERE WILL BE NO PUTTING ON OUR GREEN, BUT YOU MAY COME TO PRACTICE IF YOU WISH…

We still need workers for Moonlight Madness event IN JUNE, Publicity, as well as other committees that  come up later in the year.

Please check your calendars and sign up if you haven’t already.  Remember, it is the responsibility of each member to work on one committee during  the year.

We will be awarding the annual LouAnn Garvin Tiger of the Year, Roadrunner of the year and Hole in Wonder Annual award.

Reminder: At this luncheon we will be voting on the change to our by-laws, temporarily suspending the position of Vice President for the year 2012.

Our webmasters have created a new page on our website entitled “Putting Status”. This is the second tab on the left hand side. This will make it easier for our putters to view delays or cancellations.

BOX TOPS & LABELS FOR EDUCATION: Raye Cobb has sent 500  box tops which are worth $50 and 150 labels for free merchandise to 1st Ave Elem. school in San Manuel.

Facebook, check out Campbell Soup website where they offer 5 bonus Points when you “like” them on FB.  Please ask if you have questions on this program.

U of A Cancer Research fund raiser:  partcipants are needed for the putting event taking place on Feb 21 at the HOA#1 green.  Cost is $20 and  lunch is $15.   Maybe a group of MVLputters could put some teams together for this worthwhile event.

We all know someone, or have been touched ourselves by cancer and we need to support the research.  Proceeds go to the Arizona Cancer Center

We have received a thank you card for all the box tops and soup labels we donate from Ms Barajas of First Avenue Elementary. Thank you to Raye Cobb for taking care of this.

Monthly Luncheons – A committee met with staff from HOA#1 on Thursday to finalize our menus and cost for the luncheons that will be served there starting in March. The cost is $15 inclusive. We have chosen some delicious sounding items…we hope you will all come and “try them”.

Today is our Monthly Luncheon – The menu is Chicken Crepe with champagne sauce served over rice with a fruit side, roll and butter and desert.  Check-in starts at 11:30 am and lunch served at 11:45 am (PV Room).

Upcoming Events:  Annual Registration Meeting is this Thursday, January 12, 2012.  The doors to the ballroom will open at 8:30 am for new members for orientation and returning members will be able to enter at 9 am.  Check your personal calendars ahead of time to help you make your committee choice.  Dates for the first meeting of each committee will be posted on each of the sign-up sheets. The annual registration fee is still $67.00.  You will be able to purchase or order MVLP shirts and order name tags as well.  Please bring a separate check for your membership fee and your shirt/name tag orders.

Recreation and Activities Fair – January 14th: The MVLP will be represented at this year’s fair.  Come by and say hello.
