ARTICLE I — NAME

MountainView Lady Putters

ARTICLE II — OFFICERS

Vice President/Co-Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer(s), Statistician, Special Events Coordinator(s), Event Committee Advisor(s), Membership Coordinator and Members-at-Large will be elected for one-year terms.  The election will be by ballot or presented as a slate.  The Vice President/Co-Vice Presidents will become President/Co-Presidents in the next year.  The candidates will be nominated and introduced at the October luncheon meeting.  Voting will take place no later than November.  The new officers will be introduced at the January Reorganization Meeting.  Officers and Members-at-Large must be full-time residents.  The past President/Co-Presidents shall serve as an advisory member(s) of the Board for a one-year period after her/their term as President/Co-Presidents.

The Board is responsible for ensuring the continued smooth operation of the organization.  All decisions will be made based on the best interests of the entire organization and will be made by the majority vote of the Board.

Expenditures by Board members in excess of $50.00 must be preapproved.

In case of an emergency involving an officer, the Board will hold a special election.

ARTICLE III — PURPOSE

MountainView Lady Putters (“MVLP”) is a pleasant social group, whose aim is to make new friends, have fun and improve putting skills.  Monthly and annual prizes are awarded using a handicap system.

ARTICLE IV — MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to all ladies who are residents of SaddleBrooke.  Membership shall not be denied to anyone due to race, religion or national origin.  Annual dues for the year, February 1-January 31, must be paid by the previous January 31st.  Members who do not pay their dues by the stated date shall be dropped from membership in the organization.  There is no pro-rating of the annual dues and there are no refunds.

All members are required to participate on a committee or a job assignment at some time during the year.  Orientation attendance is a requirement for membership.

ARTICLE V — TIME AND PLACE

Putting is scheduled every Monday morning (except during over-seeding).  The monthly meeting/luncheon is held on the second Monday of each month.  Members present at these luncheon meetings shall constitute a quorum for any organizational business decisions.

ARTICLE VI — COMMUNICATIONS

Bylaws, Standing Rules and an Annual Calendar of Events will be available to each member on the web site.  Pertinent information is posted on the web site and the Putters’ bulletin board in the MountainView Golf Club’s Office.   The Board will meet before the monthly luncheon meeting when called by the President/Co-Presidents or Vice President/C0-Vice Presidents, if deemed necessary.

ARTICLE VII — AMENDMENT OF BYLAWS

Changes to the Bylaws must be approved by a majority of members present at a luncheon meeting.  Any proposed changes to the Bylaws will be announced at least one month prior to the vote and be posted on the Putter website.

If MVLP is dissolved, any monies remaining in the treasury are to be given to a non-profit organization of the membership’s choosing.

ARTICLE VIII – EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES AFFECTING MVLP

This Article supersedes all current ARTICLES having to do with the daily or monthly business, activities and/or operations of MVLP.

If MVLP is unable to have monthly luncheons or meetings (i.e. COVID-19 and/or other extraordinary circumstances), voting shall take place by member email.  Email voting will replace an in-person vote until luncheons, meetings and other activities are able to resume to normal scheduling.
